The Fast-Track scheme
For certified companies that need quick access to international labor in Denmark.
Fast residence and work permits for key employees
At NMD Law Group, we help both employers and employees safely through the entire process from certification and documentation to submission and dialogue with SIRI.
01Residence and work permit via the Fast-Track scheme
The Fast-Track scheme is a special business scheme administered by SIRI, which allows certified Danish companies to have applications for residence and work permits processed quickly and flexibly.
The scheme is relevant for companies that employ highly qualified employees, specialists, or managers from countries outside the EU/EEA and who cannot wait for the normal processing time.
02What is Fast-Track?
The Fast-Track scheme is a scheme where certified companies can hire foreign employees under faster circumstances.
Advantages of Fast-Track:
- Faster case processing
- Possibility of ongoing employment
- Less administrative uncertainty
03Who can use Fast-Track?
Employers
- Danish companies with a CVR number
- Companies in need of international labor
- Companies that can meet SIRI's certification requirements
Employees
- Specialists, managers and highly qualified employees
- Third-country nationals (outside the EU/EEA)
- Employees with specific job offers and contracts
04The four Fast-Track tracks
The Fast-Track scheme consists of several tracks, depending on the employee's situation:
- The Pay limit track – for employees with high salaries
- The Research Track – for researchers and research staff
- The study track – for recent graduates
- Short-term track – for shorter stays and projects
We advise on choosing the right track and ensure that the application is submitted correctly from the outset.
05What kind of documentation is required?
Typical documentation includes:
From the company
- Certification by SIRI
- Employment contract or job offer
- Information about position, salary, and working hours
From the employee
- Valid passport (all pages)
- Documentation of qualifications
- Authorization (if applicable)
We review all the documentation before submitting the case in order to avoid errors and delays.
06Processing time
Fast-Track is one of the fastest schemes in Denmark:
- Typically 10–30 days, depending on the track
- In some cases, the possibility of starting work immediately
- Regulatory requirements and inspections may affect the timeframe
We are following the matter closely and respond quickly to inquiries from SIRI.

What our clients say
Our clients' experiences with legal advice from NMD Law Group.
We were going through a very stressful family reunification process and were afraid of getting a rejection. Our case was carefully reviewed and several important details we had overlooked were identified. A clear strategy was created, and we felt secure throughout the entire process. Our application was approved, and we can finally start our life together in Denmark.
I had received a fine related to my Working Holiday Visa and was worried it would affect my new residence permit. NMD Law Group analyzed both my previous and current permits and clearly explained the risks and the correct legal approach. Their professionalism and strategic guidance made all the difference.
