In solving our tasks, we process personal data. This is done according to the rules in the data protection regulation and the data protection act.

Your rights
According to the data protection regulation, as a citizen you have a number of rights when we processes personal data about you. Contact us if you wish to exercise your rights at NMD.

Inquiries from applicants
We process personal data in the case of inquiries from citizens.The purpose of the processing of personal data is to be able to answer the citizen's inquiry.
We process the contact information of the person who makes the contact in order to be able to respond to the inquiry. We may also process other personal data in order to respond to the inquiry, e.g. information mentioned in the inquiry. This will typically be general personal data, but it may also be sensitive personal data. This could, for example be information about a person's political or religious beliefs.

In certain cases, we will pass on personal data to other public authorities if the inquiry is relevant to the performance of the authorities' tasks. This can happen to the following authorities:

The immigration authorities: Department of the Ministry of Immigration and Integration, the Danish Immigration Service, the Home Travel Agency, the Immigration Board and the Refugee Board and the Agency for International Recruitment and Integration.

The Rent Tribunal, housing court, and Bailiffs court.

The Danish courts, etc.

Inquiries are registered with a case number in our electronic case and document management system as long as they are relevant.
Case Processing
We process personal data in connection with our handling of cases under immigration law, inheritance law, and tenancy law.
We will request the information relevant to the specific case so that we can process the application.
